For PE, PP and PET film makers — blown, cast, BOPP, BOPET, CPP and laminated films. By controlling the silica micro-structure at the film surface we improve layer separation, opening and downstream converting efficiency, without giving up haze, clarity or coefficient of friction.
Grades our customers usually benchmark against: W. R. Grace SYLOBLOC® 250 and the SYLOBLOC® series, Evonik SPHERILEX® and SIPERNAT® film antiblock grades, and QEMETICA / PQ precipitated antiblock silicas.
Our route is not a brand-premium play: we start where the production problem is, run profile-matched screening, and earn the slot as a qualified second source — one validated sample at a time.
Three grades are put forward for this track. We do not publish typical-value tables here: the controlled TDS, COA and SDS for each grade are sent with the sample so that your evaluation runs on the document that will govern supply, not on brochure figures.
| Grade | Material | Where it sits in the screening |
|---|---|---|
| CENSIL 773 | Low-iron, high-purity precipitated silica | The low-iron, high-purity route where film optics matter. Usually the first antiblock candidate for clear packaging film and its masterbatch. |
| CENSIL 779 | Low-iron, high-purity precipitated silica | Same low-iron platform, aimed at tighter downstream appearance — and the powder route for masterbatch plants whose customers judge the film by eye. |
| CENSIL 185P | Precipitated silica powder | Conventional precipitated comparison route for film antiblock. Run it beside 773 or 779 when cost position has to be part of the decision. |
On data. Final performance, compliance and application fit follow the supplier's latest TDS, the lot COA and your own test results. Ask for the grade-specific document set before you commit a formulation or a trial protocol.
| Validation dimension | Signal to check | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Antiblock performance | Interlayer separation and opening force | The core performance |
| Haze and clarity | Change in film optical appearance | Packaging appearance fit |
| Coefficient of friction | Slip, conveying and converting behaviour | Downstream efficiency |
| Dispersion | Gels, fish-eyes or streaks | Film quality stability |
| Process fit | Extrusion, screen-pack pressure and bubble stability | Line-introduction risk |
“CENSIL 773 and 779 run as the low-iron, high-purity candidate route; CENSIL 185P runs as the conventional precipitated comparison. The final choice follows film type, resin, target haze and opening requirement.”
